Crayola Color Wonder Magic Light Brush

Looking for an alternative to messy markers and paints for your young artist?  The Crayola Color Wonder Light Brush promises clean fun.  We get a 5 year-old and his mom to review it.

Jacob is almost five and loves to draw. Sometimes he likes to paint in his room.  "Yes and I get color all over my paper towel," he said.  His mom had seen the Magic Light Brush and wondered if it was worth $20.  So we bought the paint kit and had Jacob test it out on his bed.

The fiber optic bristles of the brush light up to show the color of the paint. The kit requires 3 AA batteries which are not included. The paint is a clear gel until it hits the specially coated Color Wonder paper.  The paint colors don't show up on skin, walls, carpet or clothing, something Jacob's mom can appreciate.   "They don't draw or paint or color on my furniture or his clothes and so it only works on this paper," April said.

The kit comes with six colored paints and a 30 page tablet.  Crayola also sells refill sets.  Jacob seemed to get a kick out of painting in a dark room.  "I want it for Christmas," he said, "because it lights up."

After watching Jacob's reaction to the Color Wonder Light Brush, his mom thought it was worth the money. She and Jacob were in agreement - two thumbs up.
