ATLANTA -- Just call him a pint sized patriot.

Ten-year-old Cody Jackson, a fourth grader from Georgia, has spent thousands of hours greeting our troops and sending them gift packages overseas.

Tuesday he received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award for his dedication to the troops.

Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.) presented the honor and was quite impressed with the young man.

"To earn the Presidential Gold-Level Service Award at the age of 10 and to have just the knowledge, the understanding, the appreciation for what others are doing for him, is really special," Price said.

"It makes me feel really good," Cody said. "It's just really cool."

Cody has also written two books. He says he uses the proceeds to buy care packages for our troops. To learn more about Cody's mission, visit his website.
