RIVERDALE, Ga -- Dozens of volunteers from Georgia Power became heroes for seniors in Clayton County.
This week, the volunteers worked with Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity to build five new energy efficient homes in Riverdale.
The homes are designed to save up to $400 a year on energy bills. For Georgia Power, it's all about giving back.
John D'Andrea with Georgia Power says "We're very active in the community. It's part of our core values to get involved in the community in which we serve and this is just another way for us to get involved and help promote the economic growth of the area and do something good for some folks that are in need."
