ATLANTA -- The Boston Marathon explosion has everyone on watch for suspicious activity. The 11Alive Help Desk wants to let you know what to do if you see something possibly distrustful.
The Atlanta-Fulton Emergency Management Agency believes the best motto to abide by is simply put, "If You See Something, Say Something."™
Law enforcement agencies depend on community members to help be their eyes and ears when they are not around. The See Something, Say Something campaign encourages anyone to call 911 or take appropriate steps to notify authorities if they see something suspicious.
MARTA has also joined the campaign and says the key to a safe transit is to inform the public before an emergency occurs. Marta also wants you to be familiar with the station exits so in the event of an emergency you can get out as quickly as possible.
Many other organizations around Atlanta support the campaign such as Atlanta Police Department
, Georgia Tech
, and City of Fairburn Police Department.
