Multiple injuries and two deaths have been reported thus far following explosions at the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday.

Here are two ways you can virtually check the status of family and friends currently in Boston:
The American Red Cross Safe and Well website allows those who were affected by the disaster to register themselves as "Safe and Well." Individuals self-register on their own terms and are able to post statuses such as "Out of harms way" to the website.
To search for an individual in the database, users must have either a phone number or address for the person whom they are attempting to locate.
Google Person Finder allows those in the affected area to simply post an alert that they are safe. Users can visit the site to search for individuals by name.
