ATLANTA, Ga. -- With the NCAA Final Four to take place in Atlanta, the city will have
an abundance of events this weekend and the 11Alive Help Desk wants you
to get in on the action!
First up: The Dick Vitale Signing Event. Sports fans can join
basketball coach turned ESPN sportscaster, Dick Vitale for a meet and
greet and an autographing session. The event will take place Friday at Stats restaurant. Fans can bring anything they wish for Vitale to sign or they can purchase merchandise.
Continue the fun by going vertical with the American Lung Association's 2013 Fight For Air Climb Atlanta.
Instead of traditional walks and races, participants can climb up 52
flights of stairs in Atlanta's largest vertical competition.
Participants can tackle this challenge individually or with friends.
Feel free to jog, run or walk, just make sure you take the elevator down.
If autographs and stairs are not enough, be sure to catch trumpeter and vocalist Hugh Masekela, at the Rialto Center for the Arts this Saturday.
His performance will reflect the days of his South African youth. The
discography also includes performances on the early recordings of Bob
Marley and the early 1970s afro-beat of Fela Kuti.
Lastly, partake in the Improvising Brain concert
this Sunday. This event brings musicians and researchers together to
explore music, the cognitive and interactive process in improvisation
and the brain.
In addition, a panel will ask for feedback from
performers while listening to other performances. The keynote address
will be delivered by Robert Zatorre of the Montreal Neurological
The concert is free and open to the public.
