We will continue to see a large area of moderate to heavy rain continue to move across N Georgia tonight as we are north of a warm front. Later tonight some of the rain can get heavy at times as the moisture from the gulf gets closer and the upper energy gets closer as well.
The warm front to the south will move across the N Georgia area later tonight and pump in a lot of moisture and warmth from the south. As it lifts north tomorrow we will be in the warm section of the system which will set us up for a good chance of seeing some severe weather tomorrow afternoon. I am looking at the timing tomorrow to be after 1pm, but before 6pm, so basically tomorrow through the afternoon hours the threat of severe weather will be there. Right now the main threat is damaging winds, but there is a slim chance of an isolated tornado mainly in the western sections of the state.
