We've been spoiled this weekend.  We've had below average temperatures.  The mornings have been refreshing with lows about 5 degrees lower than average. The afternoons have also been below the average.  Today, our morning low was 65 degrees.  The average for today's date is 69.  We were 4 degrees below average this morning.  This afternoon, we made it up to 85.  The average high for this time of year is 87.  We were 2 degrees below average today.

The "below average" days are over for this week.  Warmer air is moving in.  Monday, we will have a high of 87.  That is right on target for average.  We also have a Code Orange Smog Alert in effect for Monday.  That means the pollutants will be cooking up some ground level ozone due to the rising heat and stagnant air.  By Wednesday and Thursday, we will move up to 89 degrees.  Then the lower 90s will be here for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Along with the heat, the humidity will be rising, too.  As the east winds shifts to a more southerly direction, it will bring in more heat and more moisture.  We are introducing a 20% chance of showers Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.  Most areas will stay dry.  With the heat rising and mixing with that humidity, there is a slight chance that we could bubble up an isolated shower or two.  The chances for showers go up to 30% on Saturday and Sunday as those highs will be in the lower 90s.
