ATLANTA -- Earlier this week we got our first look at the new architectural drawings for the next Atlanta Falcons stadium, but what about the jobs it will create?

Well, that process began publicly at Atlanta City Hall on Thursday.

The Falcons organization was just one of several public and private vendors who took part in City Council President Ceasar Mitchell's second annual Back to Business Conference to help small businesses.

But they were obviously one of the biggest draws.

People lined up at the new stadium information table to sign up for the process of possibly getting a piece of the $1 billion-plus project.

One of them was Atlanta interior designer Tina Arnold, who hopes she can put her mark on the new sports arena.

"People like me, we need the work and we want to show our best work at all times and the ability to do that here in my city is phenomenal," she told 11Alive News.

Greg Beadles, Executive Vice-President of Administration for the Atlanta Falcons, said they're looking for help with design, architecture and engineering, as well as hiring several subcontractors.

He said studies predict the new stadium will create about 4,500 jobs just to build.

"That does not include any long term jobs associated with the stadium, so it's a great project from a job creation standpoint," Beadles added.

The Falcons also unveiled a new stadium link on their website for businesses and job seekers to connect with the hiring process.

Construction of the new retractable dome stadium is set to begin in the summer of 2014 and be finished in time for the NFL fall season of 2017.
