Morehouse students rally to 'Stop the Violence'

ATLANTA -- Morehouse student government leaders say they will meet Monday to further discuss campus security and what steps can be taken to curb violence in the wake of a shooting Friday.

An arrest was made Saturday in the shooting incident that occurred at Archer Hall on the Morehouse College Campus Friday.

Clark Atlanta University student Amir Obafemi, 20, was arrested and booked into Fulton County Jail.

Obafemi is charged with felony aggravated assault in the shooting of Morehouse student Cornelius Savage.

Savage remains in stable condition at Grady Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Morehouse students joined their counterparts at Clark Atlanta University and Spelman College for a "Stop the Violence" rally and march.

Student leaders want to follow up with a gathering at 5 p.m. Monday inside the Martin Luther King, Jr. International Chapel on campus.
