MILTON, Ga. -- A Milton man will spend the rest of his life in prison after being found guilty of killing his teenage stepson.
Eric Brandon was convicted Wednesday of murder, felony murder, aggravated assault and firearm possession in the February 2012 death of 16-year-old Alexander Koser. He was sentenced to life plus five years in prison.

Alex's body was found Feb. 12, 2012 inside a townhouse on Genesis Way. He has been shot three times in the chest with a 12-gauge shotgun, which was recovered from the house.
Brandon surrendered at the scene and told police he killed the teen. He said he shot the boy after they got into a fight; the victim's mother was shopping for groceries at the time.
In court this week, it was revealed Brandon was upset that Alex was making too much noise while playing video games with a visiting friend. Brandon asked the teen to be quiet; when Alex did not, the defendant retrieved his shotgun and killed the victim.
Brandon was arrested and placed in the back of a police car, where surveillance video captured him saying he "hoped (Alex) was dead."
It took jurors only 25 minutes to find Brandon guilty on all counts.
