Austell murder suspect's sketch released

AUSTELL, Ga. -- Cobb County Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a murder suspect.

On Friday, police released a sketch of one of two suspects in the murder of 23-year-old Justin Mitchell. 

Mitchell was found shot to death in a house on Pine Circle in Austell shortly after 10 p.m. Jan. 2, according to Cobb County Police Sgt. Dana Pierce. 

According to Officer Mike Bowman, the gunman was described as a thin, dark-skinned black man in his early 20s. He's believed to be between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a gray sweater, dark pants and a black beanie hat. Police said he had a handgun the night of Mitchell's murder.

The second suspect was described as a medium-skinned 5-feet-4-inch to 5-feet-6-inch black male. Police said he was wearing a multi-colored beanie hat and navy blue bandana over his face during the attack.

Both suspects are still on the loose and considered to be armed and dangerous.
