ATLANTA -- A major development Wednesday in the investigation of the house of prayer.  The arrest of a man accused of molesting several children at the church.

Two weeks after 11Alive News broke the story that the infamous house of prayer was under investigation again for reports of child molestation and abuse - Atlanta Police have confirmed there has been an arrest in the case.

22-year-old David Lee Duncan, Jr. is charged with two counts of aggravated child molestation and one count of enticing a child for indecent purposes - among other charges.

"Our special victims unit began investigating the allegations and during the investigation," said APD Officer John Chafee. "They obtained probable cause to charge. Mr. Duncan."

Duncan, a member of the House of Prayer turned himself in on Monday.  He became the focus of an investigation when two former members, Michael Oglesby and Mathias Hardeman, gave police graphic details of how their daughters were sexually molested.

"I feel like this is a way of the pastor trying to cover up for himself," said Hardeman.   "I feel like more should be arrested," said Oglesby.

It was back in 2001, that the church made national headlines when 41 children were removed from the House of Prayer after two boys were badly beaten.

Ironically, David Lee Duncan was one of those children.   And, it was Duncan's father, David Senior, who along with Pastor Arthur Allen, served time for those Beatings.

In an exclusive interview, Pastor Allen told 11Alive News that Duncan did confess to molesting several children.

A confession that took place back in 2009 - causing both Hardeman and Oglesby to leave their children and wives behind at the church.

They say they were left with no other choice but to go to police.
"So, you had him turn himself in just to clear his name?" asked reporter. "Yes I did," said Pastor Allen.

We caught up with the church's leader Wednesday night.

"I just hate it because he's got a wife and a child and he's working a regular job and this might jeopardize his job," said Pastor Allen.

Duncan was still behind bars Wednesday night. The investigation continues.
