ATLANTA -- Parents in the Virginia Highlands neighborhood should be on alert due to a two reports of attempted kidnapping according to the Morningside Lenox Park Association.

According to the neighborhood association's newsletter, a 12-year-old girl was accosted by a man who had followed her while she rode her bike on Thursday afternoon. The man followed the girl into her house to "use the phone." The letter said the girl "kicked him, fought him and ran screaming from the house."

The suspect is a tall, middle-aged white male with a buzz cut and sandy-colored hair. The newsletter says the man was driving a gold, small sedan similar to a Prius. Police released a preliminary sketch of the man.

And Wednesday, a neighborhood nanny was taking her toddler for a walk near Ponce Plane when an SUV with three white males pulled up and asked her to "give them the baby."

Atlanta Police were notified on both occasions and reports were filed.
