Liburn Police need help finding an attempted child abductor

LILBURN, Ga. -- Police need your help finding a man who tried to abduct a 3-year-old boy in Lilburn.

It happened on August 30th at the Park Avenue Thrift store on Lawrenceville Highway. According to the police report a man approached the child and tried to lure him with money. 

"A man touched me," the child said, as his Dad held him in his arms, while telling 11Alive News the story.

According to the police report, the unidentified man grabbed the child's arm. A woman standing nearby noticed what was going on and 'approached the man as if she knew he was not the father'.  The man let go and quickly moved to the front of the store and left.

Police are looking for a white male in his 40's. He's described as having an olive complexion, brown hair with a brown trimmed beard. He's about 5 feet, 10 inches and is described as having a large "beer belly".
