  • UPDATE (September 18, 2012) -- 11Alive Fugitive of the Week Craig Tellis has been arrested by the DeKalb County Sheriff's Fugitive Squad.

Tellis was found hiding in a back room of a home on Everhart Street in southweast Atlanta Tuesday morning, after the fugitive squad developed information on his location.

Tellis is the fourth suspect arrested in connection with the murder of Antorey Harris at an apartment on Shellbark Road in Decatur. Shortly after he was featured as the Fugitive of the Week, two other suspects, 21-year-old Christopher Fennel and 19-year-old Iman George, turned themselves in.

DECATUR, Ga. -- Craig Tellis is 11Alive's Fugitive of the Week for September 5, 2012. Tellis, age 22, is wanted for murder and armed robbery by the DeKalb County Sheriff.

A SWAT team thought they had Tellis cornered in a Decatur home late Wednesday night, but after a three hour standoff, the house was cleared and no one was in it. Investigators believe Tellis may have been tipped off that they were coming. "We came to the conclusion he may have gotten out prior to us setting up our perimeter," Sgt. Adrion Bell said.

Tellis and two other men are wanted for a robbery and murder at a DeKalb County apartment complex on Shellbark Road Sunday night. Police said at about 7:30 p.m., Tellis, 19-year-old Iman George and 21-year-old Christopher Fennell shot and killed 34-year old Antorey Harris. Harris was sitting on his back deck. "It was stated that he was shot several times with a handgun and with an AK-47," Sgt. Bell said.

Sgt. Bell said they are worried Tellis may still have the AK-47 assault weapon. He said that's why the SWAT team took extra precautions. "The Sheriff Deputies did increase the crime scene area and evacuated a few homes in the area," he said. "It was just in case there wound up being an exchange of gunfire involving such a high powered weapon."
