DECATUR, Ga. -- DeKalb sheriff's deputies attempting to serve an arrest warrant at a home on Hollow Tree Drive Tuesday evening called for assistance from the DeKalb SWAT team when the man failed to come out.

When there was no response from inside the house, deputies suspected that the man had barricaded himself and could be holding hostages.

The incident began at around 8 p.m. It ended more than six hours later, when SWAT members entered the house and found no one there.

DeKalb County Sheriff's Office spokesman Adrion Bell said deputies were searching for 27-year-old Craig Tellis. He is wanted in connection with a homicide and armed robbery at the Walden Pond Apartments on Saturday.
