LILBURN, Ga. -- The Lilburn Police Department is seeking help from the public as they search for a scamming suspect.

Police said the suspect is a white or Hispanic male who targets senior citizens, mainly females in the scam. The suspect will pull alongside an elderly female while she is driving and motion her to roll down her window.

The suspect proceeds to tell the women that their rear tire is low on air, and tells them to pull over so he can assist in changing the tire.

According to police, once the women stop their cars, the suspect then approaches the passenger door, and asks for them to roll the window down. Then, the suspect snatches their handbag and yanks it through the passenger window.

Police said there have been three separate cases in Lilburn within the past month.

A female, also white or Hispanic has been seen with the suspect during each incident. They believe the suspect drives a black or gray full-sized pickup truck, possibly a Dodge Ram.

Anyone with information pertaining to the suspect or this investigation is urged to call police at (404) 516-0653.
