  • UPDATE (May 23, 2012) --

Brandon Watson and Jaleel Norwood are in custody. Earlier, Alexis Stokely was arrested after the suspects were featured on 11 Alive News as Fugitives of the Week.

Watson and Norwood are the tenth and eleventh fugitives who have been arrested after being featured.

UPDATE (March 3, 2012) -- One of three suspects in a violent armed robbery at a check cashing store inside a pharmacy has been apprehended by U.S. Marshals.

After Alexis Stokley and two others were featured as 11Alive's Fugitives of the Week on February 8, 2012, Crime Stoppers got a tip indicating Stokley was living in Riverdale. "Once we received the information, we conducted surveillance in the area and were able to locate Stokley," said Deputy U.S. Marshal Eric Heinze.

Stokley was arrested coming out of a Walmart on Ga. Highway 85. "They identified him inside the store but didn't want to take him down in such a public area," said Inspector James Joyner. "The arrest went without incident."

When he was arrested, Stokley recognized one of the investigators who arrested him as the US Marshal who profiled him on Fugitive of the Week. "He then showed [Eric Heinze] where he had saved the profile of himself on his cell phone," Joyner said.

Two other suspects, Brandon Watson and a 17-year old juvenile, are still on the loose. "We're hopeful that it's also going to yield the arrest of Brandon Watson," Inspector Joyner said.

Stokley is charged with Armed Robbery, Participating in a Criminal Street Gang, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony.

    Original story:

ATLANTA -- Alexis Stokley and Brandon Watson are 11Alive's Fugitives of the Week for February 8, 2012.

Both are wanted by the US Marshal's Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force's Counter Gang Unit. The 41-year-old Stokley and 32-year-old Watson have outstanding warrants for armed robbery, aggravated assault with a weapon and failure to appear by the Atlanta Police Department.

On October 1, 2010, Stokley, Watson and an unidentified juvenile robbed the Market Pharmacy inside the Sweet Auburn Curb Market, according to the US Marshals.

"The three subjects walked into the pharmacy and positioned themselves in a tactical manner to cover the entire store," said Deputy U.S. Marshal Eric Heinze. One of them stood by the door and held the employees at gunpoint while another suspect went directly to a back office and grabbed a bag containing over $40,000 in cash.

Heinze said all three suspects are members of the Raised on Cleveland "ROC Crew" street gang. "And they're responsible for the vast majority of the armed robberies, burglaries and thefts throughout the Atlanta area," Heinze said.

Both Alexis Stokley and Brandon Watson have extensive criminal histories which involve weapons so they should be considered armed and dangerous, Heinze said. "They also have several narcotics violations, but they're definitely known to still be residing in the Atlanta area," he added.

The Marshals are asking for the public's help. Because Stokley and Watson were involved in the same crime, they are our Fugitives of the Week. They are featured with other fugitives on Rowson's Crime Scene where there is a link the U.S. Marshals for tips. You can also call Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS(8477).
