Reporter Kevin Rowson is a General Assignment Reporter with 11Alive News and has been with the station since January of 1994. He specializes in covering stories about law enforcement.
A graduate of the University of Detroit with a B.A. in Media Studies, Kevin began his career at WCSC-TV in Charleston, SC in 1984. Two years later, Kevin's career moved him to WWOR-TV in New York where he served as a reporter until 1992. He then accepted a reporting position with WNBC-TV, also in New York, where he remained until he joined WXIA-TV, 11Alive in Atlanta in January of 1994.
Since joining 11Alive News, Kevin has covered several high-profile cases including the Eric Rudolph case, which involved bombings in Centennial Olympic Park, Midtown, and Sandy Springs. In 2001, he was awarded a Southeast Regional Emmy for his coverage of the murder arrest of DeKalb County Sheriff Sidney Dorsey. Kevin has been awarded four other Emmys including Outstanding Field Reporter.
Kevin is married and has two children. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family.
